When should I book my wedding cake(s)?
If your wedding date and venue are in place, we can begin to design your cake(s). Most clients come in around six to nine months before their wedding. Our calendar can fill up fast, especially for early summer and fall, however we value your interest in working with us and will always do our best to accommodate you.
What is the process of ordering a cake(s)?
We suggest starting with a cake consultation where you will sit down with a cake designer, try some flavors, share your ideas and have the opportunity to book your date. To officially book your date and hold a spot, we require a 25% deposit. The remaining part of your balance will be due one month prior to the wedding date.
We book dedicated consultation meetings for cake orders meeting a minimum of $200. For orders that do not meet our minimum or if you just cannot find a convenient time slot, we offer a $25 to-go tasting and can easily work on the design with you when you come in during our business hours.
How do I set up an appointment?
To arrange a cake consultation, go to our Wedding Consultation Booking page and make your appointment.
How much will my cake cost?
The final price will depend on the number of servings and complexity of details chosen. Our creations are quoted on an individual basis. The base price starts at $6.00 per serving.
Can I have different flavors in each tier?
Yes! You can have as many flavors as you have tiers.
Will you deliver my cake?
We offer personal delivery and set-up as part of our wedding service, and it is charged at a flat rate depending on the location. Check this map to see if your venue is within our delivery area.
Can I have foam "dummy" tiers?
Foam is most useful if you love the idea of a really large cake, but only have a modest guest list. However as most of the cost is in the decorating, we price our foam tiers at the same price level as our normal cake tiers.
I have a photo of a cake I want. Can you copy it?
You are welcome to bring in photos of cakes from other designers as part of an inspiration board, and we can design something similar; however, we will not recreate other people’s work. We also ask for others to respect the copyright ownership of our original cake designs.
What should I bring to my appointment?
To help us guide you in choosing the perfect design for your occasion, we ask you to bring along anything that might help us guide you towards the perfect design, such as a swatch of lace from the wedding dress, a picture of the chosen flowers or color samples, invitations, or inspiration boards. This will all assist us in visualizing the look of your day and designing a cake to match.
If you are planning on a groom’s cake, please bring ideas for his cake as well. We have idea books in our store, on our website, and on our social media sites.
